This is a points race for teams of 2. Each team has 1 racer in play at a time, while the other rests at a strategic location on the track waiting for their next effort. After covering one or two laps at top speed, the rider who is racing exchanges with their waiting teammate. During the changeovers, the rider who is racing literally throws the second rider into the race. This event is a compelling combination of speed, endurance, teamwork, and tactics.
