Yesterday (Saturday October 15) Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn joined the University of Washington Husky Cycling Club for their weekly group ride. Before they set off, the mayor gave a few remarks about his personal cycling history, as well as the politics, economics, and safety issues associated with bicycle commuting in a transportation infrastructure designed for automobiles:
