Seattle local Spencer Paxson has been nominated for the Long Team of eligible athletes for the 2012 Olympic mountain bike team. The Long Team serves as the pool of riders from which the Olympic Team will be selected.
Spencer’s recent accomplishments include finishing seventh at the 2010 National Mountain Bike Championships, being selected as one of 7 elite men cross country riders to represent the US at the 2010 Mountain Bike World Championships, and has made a name for himself in the local road racing scene.
