With the kind of weather we’ve had the past few days it’s easy to get lulled into a false sense of security. A particularly chilly and wet April is going out with a spectacular flourish. The combination of blue skies, brilliant sunshine, fresh new green leaves, and blossoms everywhere is intoxicating.

I’ve been able to find excuses and get out on the bike for some quick mid-day spins around Mercer Island. Signs for the Obliteride cancer charity event are evident along routes I ride–an indicator that they are doing a great job of understanding where Seattle’s cyclists actually ride. They have gotten my attention, for sure.

With the sunshine, be sure to work on Rule #7 while you can. It won’t last. I’m already dreading the onset of Juneuary.
