Happy Birthday, Ed Ewing

Thursday evening July 2, friends of Ed Ewing, including a complete peloton of the area’s cyclists, joined him in celebrating his 50th (gulp) birthday at Shadowland in West Seattle.

Ed is perhaps the most recognizable figure in Seattle’s cycling scene: He’s raced with and coached many of us; founded the Major Taylor Project; and is often in the pages of the REI catalog and other periodicals. And, as my wife notes, “Ed is one classy-looking dude.”
