Almost Solstice at Seward

July 4, 2017 by David Longdon Leave a Comment

The conditions were spectacular to race bikes and shoot pics at last Thursday’s Seward Park Series:

Cindy Delamaza rounding the hairpin during the 5:30 event.
Sean McGraw, winner of the 2017 Ballard Criterium category 3 race rounds the hairpin during the 7PM event.
Quads and calves power out of the hairpin during the 7PM event.
Members of team Keller Rohrback discuss stock trading tips as they approach the hairpin during the 7PM event.
Joe Holmes (Tête de la Course Cycling) dispenses race strategy to a young protégé before the 6PM event.
Faces focused down the course as riders exit the hairpin during the 6:00 event.
Mark Roughgarden (black and pink, Machete Squad) makes it look easy.
Terry Buchanan, owner of the Cascade Bicycle Studio and a principal at MFG Cyclocross in the 6:00 event.
Rolling anonymous, Joe Swain (blue) is a newish rider and a member of High Performance Cycling who has a string of top finishes in the 5:30 event. He won Thursday’s race by a bike length.
