Everesting is a kind of challenge that requires doing hill repeats until you’ve ascended the height of Mt. Everest (29,029′.)
As I’m writing this, Egencia Cycling teammates Daniel Perry, Daniel Rossano, and Thomas Baron are a bit past mid-way through an Everesting attempt on Montreux Hill in Issaquah, about 15 miles east of Seattle.
Last year Daniel Perry was among the more prominent instigators of Everesting attempts in the Seattle area. While most of the folks into Everesting are cyclists, this year the Everesting party got off to a big start when Seattle-based ultra runner Jess Mullen Everested Chirico Trail in Issaquah, and became the first woman in the world to do an Everest on foot.
