Wednesday evening Herriott Sports Performance (HSP) celebrated the opening of their new Pro Shop adjacent to their existing fitness facility. The additional floorspace enables HSP to separate their bike retail and service facility from the fitness facility.
Champagne and beer flowed, and a few cupcakes were sampled.
As a bit of context, I’ve been an HSP client for about a year, and (almost) regularly attend a Functional Strength for Endurance Athletes conditioning class. HSP provides coaching services to a number of local bicycle racing teams, as well as individual bicycle racers. Although I am not a serious competitor, I feel that my fitness has benefited from working out with folks who are serious. As they say, if you want to get faster, train with people who are faster.
The new HSP Pro Shop features bikes from Look (a beauty time trial bike is on display there now…), Ridley and Guru. They rent wheels from Zipp, Edge, and Shimano. And, first I’ve ever seen of this (though I’m sure others exist), the HSP Pro Shop has a saddle demo program. If you are like me, you’ve probably spent big $$ bucks on saddles that didn’t fit and then had to try to get what you could for them on eBay.
Based on my experience, the coaches and staff at Herriott Sports Performance are dedicated to making sure the details that matter–whether with your body or your bike’s drivetrain–will perform at their best.
