Want to keep motivated all winter long?

Join us for a 4-mile or 8-mile trail run in Northwest Trail Runs’ Winter Trail Series’ Absolution Run!

Situated on the northeast shoreline of Lake Washington, Saint Edward State Park is a gem of the Washington State Park system. The beauty of its natural forest areas and undeveloped waterfront, its proximity to the Eastside and Seattle population centers, and its well-maintained amenities, including historic buildings, convenient parking, pleasant picnic areas, a phenomenal children’s play structure, and many miles of wonderful trails make it a favorite destination for hiking, mountain biking, and running. The park is named after St. Edward Seminary, which operated in a large building that still stands in the park today and is recognized in the National Register of Historic Places.

Course Description

Early in the course, you’ll run out a wide trail then back on fun, swoopy, twisting single track. Next, you’ll hightail it down to the water where you’ll get to cruise along the shore for a while. Be sure to catch your breath, because what goes down, must come back up! 4-milers will run one loop, 8-milers run two loops.

Schedule*

8:30am – Check-in and day-of-event registration opens
9:22am – Pre-start briefing
9:30am – Start**
12:00pm – Course closes

* The schedule is subject to change, per official COVID-19 measures in place on the date of the run.

** Those who are not comfortable participating in the mass start have the option of starting individually shortly after the mass start. Runners who start separately will have their results listed separately, will not be eligible for placement in the field with the mass started runners, and will be awarded the minimum 30 series points for finishing.
