Bristow 24/12 Run
June 29, 2024
An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day last of June, repeating until June 28, 2025
This 12-hour and 24-hour loop race lets runners challenge themselves to see just how many miles they can run in a set time limit. We intend to keep the vibe this race is known (and loved) for, while adding just enough Go Beyond-ness that you will excitedly add this to your race calendar.
Schedule
Bib Pickup: At the race start, 8:00-8:30 a.m. (photo ID required)
Race briefing: 8:45 a.m.
Both distances start: 9:00 a.m.
Course
The race is at the Elijah Bristow State Park and occurs on a 1.05-mile loop. The course is almost all dirt trail, with a short section on pavement as you approach and leave the aid station/timing/parking area. There is about 16 feet of gain in a loop, so this is pancake-flat.
Crew & Pacing
Crew is definitely not necessary to race this, as we’ll provide all the support you need. But, friends and family cheering you on is pretty awesome, so you are welcome to use a crew if you like.
Crew can set up a spot in the parking area in front or behind a vehicle or you can create your own little aid station on the grass right at the start/finish area. We need to be sure there is room for all the racers, so be considerate when staking out your personal aid station. Your crew cannot access you while you are on the dirt trail portion of the course.
Pacing is allowed after 9:00 p.m., 12 hours into the race. Be careful to let other runners pass.
