Candy Cane Lane Run 5K
December 21, 2019 @ 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm PST
An event every year that begins at 3:30 pm on day third of December, repeating until December 21, 2024
Come celebrate the winter solstice with us!
Enjoy an adventurous, evening trail run/walk with friends and family starting at Cowen Park and ending in Ravenna Park at the entrance to Candy Cane Lane – Seattle’s most historic and famous holiday light neighborhood display! Yes, we said evening trail run!
At packet pickup you will get a beanie, bibs, pins and an LED headlamp to light up your way on the run/walk!
At the finish line you will get hot chocolate, popcorn, an LED light up finisher medal (if signing up for the 5K), and candy canes! Stroll into the Candy Cane Lane holiday lights like never before and flash that medal bling for all to see! 1.6K runners/walkers receive a non-LED light finisher medal.
Dress up in Christmas costumes/attire or reflective running gear, or both!!
COURSE AND START TIMES:
The events begin with a 1 mile run/walk at 4:15 PM, followed by the 5K Wave 1 at 4:30 PM, and finally the 5K Wave 2 at 5:30 PM.
If you’re an experienced trail runner or faster (under 8 minute mile pace) please get up to the front. Trails roller coaster up and down in a couple of areas. However, there are long, gradual descents and inclines that are ready to burn off your Thanksgiving calories!
