  • Seattle to Portland STP »

Join this wicked and beautiful course on the dry side of Washington! Sure, you know all about the lush greens of the Pacific Northwest, but did you know we also have hot, dry high desert, huge rock hoodoos, and wicked gulches? Well. We do. You know now.

50-Miler Quick Stats

Distance: 50 miles

Elevation gain: 10,000’

Course: A 38-mile loop, followed by a 12-mile loop. Mostly single track, with some gravel forest road.

Cutoff: 24 hours (7:00 am Sunday)

Swag/Awards: Everyone will get a medal, a shirt, and free beverage and food at the finish line. Top 3 in all gender categories will receive prizes.

Everyone over the age of 12 attending the event will be required to show proof of vaccination.

50-Miler General Information

The 50 mile race will take you up and over the rock face of Mount Lillian before launching you along and through the frigid waters of Devil’s Gulch. The first loop is 38-ish miles, with several aid stations and water drops. After finishing the large loop, you’ll head back out for a 12ish-mile loop to top off your mileage at 50 miles.

We’ll have the party going at the Ski area until the last runner comes through, guaranteed.

Typical weather: The daytime temperatures in this area can get very hot, and parts of the course are fairly exposed. Nights can be cool, especially at the higher elevations.

Required gear: The 50 mile course has a huge amount of elevation gain, and in July, this area is prone to being hot and dry. The aid stations are far enough apart that runners are required to carry at least two water bottles or a hydration pack. Nights can get cold, and runners will be required to have headlamps and cold weather clothing for safety.

This event is CUPLESS – please bring your own containers for fluids during the race (bottles, soft flasks, and collapsible cups) as well as after the race (for your beer!).
