|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every year that begins at 7:30 am on day second of April, repeating until April 8, 2023

The Half Marathon Trail Series features several half marathon trail runs over the course of the year, designed to both whet and sate trail runners’ appetites for this wonderful distance!

The different events offer courses at a variety of venues, each with a unique beauty and challenge. Run three or more to earn a full series score. See how you compare to others in your age group, or challenge yourself to go the distance three times this year.

Soaring Eagle Regional Park is a square mile of trail running playground set in the middle of a suburban development on the Sammamish plateau. Running through the center of this relatively flat park is a gravel pipeline trail, and radiating outwards is a web of swooping single-track trails. Step onto one of these trails and you’ll be quickly transported away from the stress of the city and tuned into the rhythm of dabbing over rocks and roots. The twists and turns at Soaring Eagle keep you on your toes and smiling. With no major elevation change, this run contains the glee of a backyard roller coaster set in a mossy wonderland.

Plus, there’s a plethora of distances to choose from: 5 miles, 10 miles, Half Marathon, or Marathon. There’s a distance for everyone at Spring Eagle Trail Run!

Our runners tell us that Spring Eagle Trail Run (formerly know as Soaring Eagle Trail Run) is one of the most FUN courses around. So kick off spring, and ready your legs for a summer full of trail adventures. Join us at Spring Eagle!

Course Description
Spring Eagle Trail Run takes place at Soaring Eagle Regional Park, which is fairly flat, with only small hills. However, the many rocks, roots, twists and turns of the trail makes it a more challenging run than Spring Eagle’s smoother counterparts.

Spring Eagle Trail Run has two figure-8-shaped loops, a 5.06-mile loop and a 6.57-mile loop, and each race distance uses a combination of these loops.

The courses are as follows:
5-mile = 1 x 5.06-mile loop
10-mile = 2 x 5.06-mile loop
Half Marathon = 2 x 6.57-mile loop
20-mile = 3 x 6.57-mile loop (actual distance is 19.71 miles)
Marathon = 4 x 6.57-mile loop

Aid Stations
There are two aid stations, one at the start/finish point for runners to visit between loops, and another at the crossing point of the figure-8 course. Runners will pass this second aid station twice on each loop, at 0.5 miles and 2.7 miles into the 5.06-mile loop, and at 0.5 miles and 4.2 miles into the 6.57-mile loop. The aid station locations are marked on the course maps above.

Aid stations offer water, electrolyte drink, and some carbohydrate-rich or salty foods, such as cookies, pieces of energy bar, gels, chews, chips, bagel, fruity candy, fig bars, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and/or bananas.
