Honolulu Marathon | Start to Park 10K

26.2 miles in Paradise
The fourth largest marathon in the United States starts at 5 am on Sunday, December 8.
Spectacular and scenic marathon course! 26.2miles in Paradise.
There is no time limit and no limit on the number of participants. We wait for the last finisher to cross the line and all finishers get an official finishers shirt and awesome medal.
Participants are asked to meet by the start area on Ala Moana Boulevard ready to start at 5 am.
The course goes through downtown Honolulu, past Iolani Palace and the Christmas lights, through Waikiki and climbs up and around Diamond Head, before heading out through Kahala and out to Hawaii Kai. Turning back after Hawaii Kai toward Kahala and Honolulu, the course passes Diamond Head again on the ocean side before finishing in Kapiolani Park.
After your finish, you will receive your medal and be directed to the finisher village. We’ll show your finish on the big screen (with a 20min delay so you don’t miss it!). Please hydrate, have some malasadas and pick up your finisher shirt.
START TO PARK 10K
Experience the thrill of the Honolulu Marathon start with fireworks and 25,000 participants!
The 10k starts at the same time and place as the full Honolulu Marathon and finishes 10km into the marathon course in Kapiolani Park.
The Start to Park 10k is chip timed and includes a race shirt by Descente and all finishers receive an awesome finishers medal.
Free Shuttle: There are complimentary shuttles running from the Honolulu Zoo to the Start from 2 AM – 4 AM. Board early and don’t wait for the last shuttle as there may not be room for you
Walking: Many Waikiki hotels are within walking distance of both the start and finish.
Drop off: Prior to 3:40 am, Start drop off on Waimanu Street. Proceed makai on Pensacola to Waimanu Street drop off, then turn mauka onto Piikoi to escape the road closure. If arriving after 3:40 am, drop off at Pensacola Street / Kaimaile Street or Piikoi Street / Kapiolani Boulevard
PARKING: Vehicle access to Ala Moana Beach Park and Kapiolani Park will be strictly enforced. Only vehicles that have authorized access by the Honolulu Marathon and display the proper vehicle permit will be allowed access.
No parking will be allowed in or near Kapiolani Park or the parking lot after 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 8. Unauthorized vehicles parked in those areas will be ticketed and towed. Parking at the starting line is prohibited.
