Catch an early spring ride with this Redmond Cycling Club (RCC) classic on the scenic Kitsap Peninsula. This club ride gets its name from the numerous rolling hills which will earn you 3,700′ of elevation across 60 miles. The route starts at Southworth along the water to Port Orchard. Heading south, the roller coaster begins. The route continues through Purdy and Rosedale before heading north to Gig Harbor and lunch at Susanne’s. After lunch, the route heads north for a long climb over the pass and then drops down to the water at Olalla. You’ll head north up the Olalla valley for more rollers until you gain the plateau above Southworth and a final, fast and furious descent down to the ferry dock. You can pick up snacks and drinks at the local grocery store while you wait for the ferry.

Where: Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal. Tip: park in upper parking lot at nearby Lincoln Park.
When: 8:25 Fauntleroy to Southworth Ferry (Arrive early!)
Numbers: 60 miles, 3,700′ of total elevation
Duration: 8 hours including ferry time
Pace: Ride averages around 13-17 mph
Ride Goal: Stay together on flats, re-group on climbs, enjoy lunch together in Gig Harbor.
Post-Ride: Zeek’s Pizza – 6459 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98136
