Oregon Coast 30K | Kids 1K
October 9, 2022 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm PDT
An event every year that begins at 8:30 am on day second of October, repeating until October 15, 2023
From the beach to the bluffs to ridges high above to waves crashing into rocks just feet away, this race is never far from the ocean and always incredibly scenic. Starting on a wide, flat beach just south of Waldport, Oregon, you’ll run to the small seaside town of Yachats and past it to Cape Perpetua Park. After running a big loop at Cape Perpetua, you’ll head back to an ocean-side finish at a hotel lawn in Yachats. Most of the miles are on fun, soft singletrack, that winds its way along the course, and for the 50K distance, there’s a 6 mile stretch of sandy, but firm beach running at the start, a tiny bit of pavement, and some packed gravel trail to round out the course.
5:30pm Inov8 Demo Shoe Run at Cape Perpetua
Join inov-8 All Terrain Running, Rainshadow Running, & Wy’east Wolfpack for a product demo before the big race! The route will be approximately 5K and will feature beautiful trails that the race course does not run on at Cape Perpetua. This demo run takes us right down to the crashing waves and will showcase local, well-known landmarks, Devil’s Churn, Cook’s Chasm, and Thor’s Well. Every person who attends the demo run will be eligible to win goodies donated by Rainshadow and Inov-8, including a free race entry, Inov8 gift certificate, various t-shirts, and wrags. The team at Inov-8 has selected a handful of the best trail shoes specific to the Oregon Coast race course to demo. With a mix of hard packed sandy beach (50K only), small stretches of pavement, a bit of gravel trail, and lots of soft, windy singletrack, the knowledgeable Inov-8 crew has chosen the ParkClaw 275, Roclite 290, and Roclite 305. These models will be available for runners to wear during this demo run. Please RSVP for the run here
