Swim Start: We feature a self-seeded swim start. PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS, AG RACERS, and PRO’S
A self-seeded start has been shown to give athletes of all abilities a better swim experience with faster swim times and a safer race experience. More swimming, less feet in your face! Athletes are staged on the beach according to their own estimated swim time in zones by increments of 5 minutes. Elite competitors and top finishers are given first position on the starting line followed by each zone according to swim pace. The result is top performers still get front open water, and all swimmers get to swim near others at your own pace. As you enter the water about three side by side, the result is a fluid progressive stream of swimmers that spread out naturally according to pace. Less congestion, less feet kicking you in the head like a mass start, or big wave start, just more pure swimming. This start method also allows for better and safer course supervision. Beginning and experienced Olympic swimmers can find better water and more personal swim space for a better swim and faster time.
