Half Marathon Trail Series Rattlesnake Ridge Run 5 Mi | Half Marathon
June 20, 2020 @ 5:30 am - 12:00 pm PDT
An event every year that begins at 5:30 am on day third of June, repeating until June 18, 2022
Two Half Marathon courses to choose from!
Would you rather run Rattlesnake Ridge, a well-loved single track gem of the eastern Issaquah Alps, dividing the Snoqualmie River Valley from the vast Cedar River Watershed, OR a fast half marathon along the rail trail? Pick your poison!
This event is part of the Half Marathon Trail Series, and runners in the Half Marathon distance will earn points toward their series standing.
From the start at Rattlesnake Lake, the course crosses Cedar Falls Road (cross when directed by event staff), turns right to connect to the Palouse to Cascades Trail toward Snoqualmie Pass, reaches the turn-around point at the halfway mark, then returns to the finish at the Rattlesnake Lake picnic area via the same route.
Elevation gain: about 245 feet.
HALF MARATHON OPTIONS:
Rattlesnake Ridge: Runners will start at Snoqualmie Point Park, traverse the entire length of the Rattlesnake Ridge Trail, do a short out and back on the Palouse to Cascades Trail, and return to finish at Rattlesnake Lake (this revised route for 2018 is similar to the original route for this run.) Runners will start at 5:30am to avoid heavy trail traffic from hikers going up to Rattlesnake Ledge AND to catch a glimpse of the dawn light at sunrise!
Elevation gain: about 2900 feet.
Rail Half Marathon: Runners will start at Rattlesnake Lake and do an out and back. Runners will start at 7:30am to avoid heavy trail traffic at Rattlesnake Lake parking area.
5:30am – Ridge Half Marathon starts at Snoqualmie Point Park
7:30am – Rail Half Marathon starts at Rattlesnake Lake
8:00am – 5-mile run starts at Rattlesnake Lake
8:00am – First shuttle bus from Rattlesnake Lake to Ridge Half start at Snoqualmie Point Park

IMPORTANT for Rattlesnake Ridge Half Marathon runners: Parking and check-in are at the start at Snoqualmie Point Park. There is no pre-race shuttle from Rattlesnake Lake, so you should plan to drive to the start. Carpooling is highly encouraged, and carpools of 3 or more are eligible to enter a raffle for a free race entry. There is a shuttle to transport runners back to the start after the race for $10 per person. Shuttles will run starting at 8:00am and stop at 11:30am.
Carpooling for all races is highly encouraged due to the limited parking from extensive trail use at Rattlesnake Lake. All carpools of 3 or more are eligible to enter a raffle for a free race entry.
