Tehaleh Trail Runs 1K Kids | 5K | 10K | Half Marathon
September 18 @ 6:45 am - 3:30 pm UTC+0
An event every year that begins at 6:45 am on day third of September, repeating until September 16, 2023
The Tehaleh trail run will use the extensive trail system that weaves through pines, rocks and wetlands, alpine meadows, and deep forest. To celebrate the sixth anniversary of Tehaleh, spectators and participants are invited to join in the fun with live music, hot air balloon rides, gourmet food trucks, and children’s activities (check out the fun). Newland Communities welcomes you to discover the community’s 11 parks and nearly 15 miles of trails any day of the year. During this run you’ll enjoy views of majestic Mt. Rainier which is only 25 miles away (as the crow flies) from this best-selling community of new single-family homes in Washington.
We offer 1K Kids Run (.6 Mile), 5K, 10K, and Half-Marathon (13.1 Mile) options. The aid stations are fully stocked with water, Nuun, Clif product, PB&J sandwiches, fruit, cookies, crackers and pretzels. As always, at the finish there will be a full variety of post race foods awaiting you.
This event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field
This is a cupless race. All runners should carry with them a refillable container that they can run with. There will be a limited number of cups for emergency situations.
Kid’s race: 100′
Aid station locations:
Half: 3.8, 8.5 miles
The trails will be open to other users during the event, hikers and cyclists. Please be courteous, you will unlikely encounter more than a few. Where the trails are narrow, please let other participants pass you if they want to get by. It is a passing runner’s job to tell the person in front that they wish to pass.
Parking will be at Tehaleh Heights Elementary School (17520 Berkeley Parkway E, about 1.25 miles from the start), with shuttles to and from the Start/Finish area at the Post (19001 Cascadia Blvd E).
Shuttles will run approximately every 15 minutes from 7:00-9:30am before the race and after the race starting at 10:00am.
