Tiger Claw Trail Run
May 11, 2024 @ 5:30 am - 4:00 pm PDT
An event every year that begins at 5:30 am on day second of May, repeating until May 10, 2025
Tiger Mountain, the biggest of The Issy Alps, has long been the training ground to some of trail running’s greatest runners. Technical trails, relentless climbs and quad-blowing descents make for perfect training and trail fun. Never has a race like this existed in the Issy Alps – until now. This is your chance to explore some of the toughest grinds under the lush canopy of fir and moss. Tiger Claw is a unique challenge consisting of four of the most difficult ascents of Tiger Mountain’s West peaks. The best part, you choose the order in which you ascend! To EARN an official Tiger Claw finisher, you must complete all four loops within the 9 hour time cutoff.
Do you have what it takes to tame the Tiger?
If you’re looking for a solidly difficult, early-year ass-kicking, this is it. Tiger Mountain, with its many summits, packs a brutal one-two punch – steep uphills followed by focused downhills. 25 miles with ~7500 feet of elevation gain on rugged Pacific Northwest terrain is a stout effort for even the most seasoned of trail runners. Tiger Claw is a unique challenge that puts you in control. It’s simple: there are four different climbs, each of varying length and difficulty, and one common descent. You get to pick the order in which you complete the loops. Successfully complete each of the 4 different loops, return to the finish and you will have tamed The Tiger!
