About the Vancouver Marathon

Ranked one of the top destination marathons in the world, the BMO Vancouver Marathon is a scenic Boston Qualifier that takes runners on a 42.2KM (26.2 miles) adventure past beaches, through natural parks, and along Vancouver’s Seawall – the world’s longest uninterrupted waterfront path. Vancouver’s only marathon offers 70% shoreline views and stunning scenery. Experience this world-class event for yourself!

With the whole city behind you, you’re bound to reach your goal! Discover one of the world’s ‘most livable cities’ by foot and witness the community support that has encapsulated the event since its inception in 1972.

About the Vancouver Half Marathon

Voted Vancouver’s Best, the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon is an extremely fast course, also the recent host of the BC Half Marathon Championships.

The BMO Vancouver Half Marathon takes place on a separate course than the Marathon, offering runners a unique cultural perspective of Vancouver. Step through different neighbourhoods on your journey to the Finish Line. From bustling Chinatown to glassy Yaletown to the beautiful West End, you’ll discover historic landmarks, breathtaking views, vibrant communities, and have thousands of spectators cheer you on towards the energized downtown Finish Line!

About the Vancouver 8KM

A shorter challenge than the Half Marathon and 10KM distance but equally as rewarding, this race is a great way to lace up and get your feet wet in the Vancouver running scene at Canada’s most scenic running event. Organized by local the non-profit Vancouver International Marathon Society, the award-winning BMO Vancouver Marathon offers races for everyone!

Run the 8KM race and enjoy the tranquil shade from cedar and hemlock trees in Stanley Park before breezing through Coal Harbour to the bustling Downtown Finish Line, where you’ll celebrate with Half Marathon, Marathon, and Relay runners – amidst a throng of cheering spectators.

About the Vancouver Marathon Relay

The Marathon Relay is a fun event that welcomes corporate groups, charity fundraisers, families and friends to experience the stunning BMO Vancouver Marathon course. In teams of two, three or four, Marathon Relay participants will each run a portion of the Marathon course, ending at the same exciting downtown Finish Line as the Marathon, Half Marathon and 8KM participants. Approximate distances are as follows:
Runner A (Leg A) – 12KM
Runner B (Leg B) – 12KM
Runner C (Leg C) – 5KM
Runner D (Leg D) – 13KM

About the Vancouver Kids Run

The Kids Run is for kids of all fitness levels. The race in Stanley Park on Saturday is designed to inspire kids to get moving, make healthy choices, and feel confident. Each child receives a race shirt, bib, medal, snack, and a special visit from an Elite Athlete (for bib signing and photos). This positive, memorable experience will last your kids a lifetime.

I really hope that the kids don’t have to travel back in time to Saturday, May 5, 2018, in order to participate in 2022
