While the pandemic is definitely not over, the Governor’s office put out guidance that small outdoor events are allowed to come back with the proper mitigations in place. We are still working with the Summit of Snoqualmie and Alpental Ski Patrol to develop the course this year, here’s a teaser: The objective this year is Race To The Top Of Alpy!

The race will descend some double black diamond and off-piste runs, so race participants need to be comfortable navigating this terrain. Depending on conditions, the course might have a steep bootpack as well.

Part of the tradition of Vertfest is racing in ridiculous costumes, so let your inner fruit flow and dress in a banana suit, neon onesie, or anything else crazy! Best dressed gets a prize, of course!

Usually we have the best after party and gear raffle this side of the Mississippi, but unfortunately not in 2021. Due to social distancing guidelines, the after party will need to be canceled. There will still be a gear giveaway of some sorts to help raise funds for our favorite avalanche center NWAC, but it might be virtual. We will keep you informed as it develops.
