I had to pause and look at the calendar to figure out today's date. I haven't even being paying attention to the days of the week. Everything is blending into a long stay home eternity with a few patches of outside time. This is getting old already and we are just at the beginning of it.
It turned into a pretty nice day so I figured too many people on my regular trail. I parked in a grocery store lot and walk down a neighborhood sidewalk checking out the new fancy housing developments that have replaced what up to just a few years ago were trees and wetland. We take so much from nature and mother earth then we wonder why sometimes we have to give it back.
I agree about losing track of what day it is. Losing track of time is a nice mental break during a vacation, but it's also a technique used to torture people.
Having regular daily and weekly rhythms has helped me at times get through the ups and downs of life, and foster good long-term mental health.
