Mt. Si Hill Climb

September 25 @ 7:00 am - 1:00 pm PDT

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every year that begins at 7:00 am on day last of September, repeating until September 27, 2026

  • « Bellingham Bay Marathon | Half Marathon
  • Seattle Running Club Sunday Trail Run »

It’s a race to the top!…and then back down. This is a revival of the King and Queen of Mt. Si race held by Pro Ski and Mountain Service in previous years. Participants will relish the 4000+ feet of climbing, as well as the great post-race party with beer and pizza from local North Bend businesses. Oh, and did we mention the prizes??

For 2021, the race will be limited to 125 participants. A free course preview run will be held in the spring to gauge fitness and establish a baseline time for the course.

Woodland Speeders

As part of our new Woodland Speeders program, we offer free kid’s races at all of our events. Parents are welcome to run with their kids. You can register your child during the registration process for your own race or sign them up later. Distances vary and are approximate, but we aim for about 1K in distance.

Race Notes

There will be two sets of winners: the first man and woman to The Bench of Mt. Si (the flat area at the base of The Haystack), as well as the first man and woman to get back to the finish line at Pro Ski and Mountain Service. A generous prize package awaits each winner. Not planning to vie for the win? No problem – we will also have several other generous prizes from sponsors.

The trails will be open to other users during the event. Please be courteous! Mt. Si is the most popular hiking spot in the state, and it is YOUR behavior that allows us to receive this permit. See our FAQ page for more information about sharing the trails.

There will be aid stations on the course with volunteers to help, food to eat and hydration to refuel. And don’t forget the pizza and beer at the finish line!

This is a cupless race. All runners should carry with them a refillable container that they can run with. There will be a limited number of cups for emergency situations.
