Join Northwest Trail Runs for a fun 5k or 10k with a cause at Run with the Kokanee on a flat and fast course at Lake Sammamish State Park and East Lake Sammamish Trail.
Your entry helps support the Kokanee Salmon recovery work of the Three Rivers Chapter of Trout Unlimited. The Kokanee are unique to Lake Sammamish and are in danger of becoming extinct. Some of Trout Unlimited’s work includes: protecting the Kokanee’s access to spawning areas, educating fishermen to properly identify Kokanee, educating residents about environmentally-friendly lawn care, and more.
The Three Rivers Chapter was recently awarded the King County Green Globe Award for their work on recovering the Lake Samammish Kokanee!
