Stub Stewart Trail Challenge: 1/4 – 1/2 – 3/4 – Full Marathon

October 19, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm PDT

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every year that begins at 9:00 am on day third of October, repeating until October 19, 2025

  • « Seattle Running Club Sunday Trail Run
  • Seattle Running Club 5-mile Run in Columbia City »

The race course is a challenging but fun 6.5 mile loop. Participants can run a Quarter (one loops), Half (two loop), Three Quarter (three loops), or a Full Marathon (four loops). The race that you want to run, is the race you decide to finish.

You choose what race you want to complete & compete in after you start. (So, if you were thinking of racing the full Marathon when you registered but maybe come race day you have some nagging issue or you had one to many cheers the night before? No worries, you can stop at the Half or maybe just do the Quarter. On the flipside, maybe you were thinking of only doing the Half when you registered but your training has been going great and you’re feeling really good on race day. The three Quarter or full Marathon are available! You don’t have to drop down or vice versa, you decide when you want to finish during the race & your results will reflect!

Though muddy this time of year, the course trails are fast, runnable and diverse – moving from the pavement of the Banks-Vernonia trail to unapproved road, from gently rolling hills to tough climbs.

This trail is a gem for those who don’t like monotony in their runs, as the segments are short and ,by the time you are tired of one surface, another presents itself.
