NW Harvest Ride: Thanksgiving 9:15 AM
All Seattle cyclists are invited to join members of the Seattle bike racing community on Thanksgiving morning at 9:15 for a ride to benefit Northwest Harvest. Thanks to the generosity of local cyclists, this ride raises more than $500 each year for local food banks. The minimum suggested donation for the ride is $5 per rider. Meet at the Starbucks in the Leschi neighborhood for a social-paced ride around the south end of Lake Washington. Don’t be late; the ride rolls out at 9:30.

Seattle Marathon: Sunday November 25
Avoid Lake Washington Blvd, I90 and Seattle Center
Linda Knapp, a volunteer HAM radio operator who patrols the marathon course advises cyclists to avoid Lake Washington Blvd, I-90, and Seattle Center. In the past, cyclists have been observed ignoring signs, arguing with police and officials, and trying to ride through the 15,000 competitors. Last year, the only accident was a collision between a cyclist and runner.
