Race report courtesy of Martha Walsh:
The Independence Valley Road Race was a great success. Results.
“More than 400 riders turned out for dry roads and sunshine, although it was cold (below 40) and foggy for the morning starts. The men’s cat 1-2 field featured a bunch of pro riders (male and female), and there was good racing all day long.”
“This race is fast becoming a local spring classic, and the course reminds me of the Kings Valley Road Race.”
Next Saturday: Racers will either head to Sequim for the Tour de Dung #2 Road Race or to Bellingham for the North Shore Circuit Race, which features category racing sandwiched into a collegiate race.
Next Sunday: Racers head to Woodland, WA, for the Piece of Cake Road Race. Always big fields there for a flat, fast and windy course next to the Columbia River!
