Second Ascent Twilight Crit 2008

Saturday was a fun-filled cycling day that went from shivering and gasping around Carnation to watching the high-speed Second Ascent Twilight Criterium in Ballard.

Paula and I got there in time to watch the final minutes of the men’s category 3 race and the entire pro 1/2 race.

Graham Watson I’m not. I took almost 200 pictures, but only a few are worth posting.

The crowd was enthusiastic and cheered on all of the racers. Even non-cyclists appeared to take interest, although the inebriated locals leaving their favorite taverns looked confused and irritated that the neighborhood had been invaded by lycra.

Sorry, none of the finish, though!
