XWA 2023: Paulius Juodisius

The morning of day three, John Stamstad and I connected with Paulius Juodisius on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail near Rattlesnake Lake.

At that point Paulius was experiencing some minor pains, but was making steady progress.

Discussion topics included sleep, overall gear selection, and Achilles pains.

Paulius’ previous bikepacking experience was a GCOR (Gravel Circumnavagation of the Olympic Mountain Range) attempt in which he scratched after three days.

He successfully finished XWA 2023 in 05d:23h:32m and 13th out of 48 starters.
