Seward Park 6PM Race: July 22, 2010

“Go daddy go!”: Seward Park makes for a perfect combination of family and bicycle racing.

Whoever daddy is, he sure had an enthusiastic cheerleading section at the 6PM race at Seward Park:

As you can see in the video, racers can reach over 40 mph on the backstretch of this course.

The weekly agenda includes a new racer clinic at 5PM that reviews basic cornering and paceline technique, with an emphasis on how to ride this particular course.

Races are held at 5:30PM (categories 4 & 5), 6PM (categories 3 & 4), and 7PM (pros and categories 1, 2, & 3). Cost is $10 plus a bib deposit if you don’t hold a WSBA license.
