Fischer Plumbing Cycling Team, Garage Racing, and John Duggan Cycling Attorney are collaborating on a program to recycle racing kits (uniforms) by giving them to charitable entities in other countries. The program is intended to address the problem that most teams only want current team members wearing their uniforms, while at the same time supporting cyclists in other countries. Although the request has been put out primarily to the race community, the program will accept any cycling clothing.
Donated kits will be shipped to the Cape Verde Bicycle Association. Cape Verde is an island chain west of Senegal, Africa:
I volunteer to escort the shipment.
How to Donate:
Bring gloves, shorts, bibs, and short sleeved jerseys only to Gerk’s Cycle Issaquah, VeloceVelo on Mercer Island, or John Duggan’s office (from 8AM to 5PM). If you bring your donation to John Duggan’s office, you can call the office from your car and someone will run down and meet you on the street so that you don’t have to park.
