Monday, May 5, Cycle University, celebrated its 10th Anniversary. Led by “Dean” Craig Undem, CycleU has established itself as an integral piece of Seattle’s bicycle culture. CycleU is a retail bike shop that also provides coaching services, off-season indoor training, sponsors several bicycle and multisport teams, and is active with youth cycling.

Craig Undem is (in)famous for his passion for wheat grass juice and it was only natural that he’d be serving dark green shots to his guests…although in the spirit of the celebration his concoction included an optional “medicinal” dose of tequila.

I opted for the virgin version, which was supplemented with limeade.
Congratulations to Cycle University! Retail is tough, the bike industry is even tougher, and it’s a significant accomplishment to survive 10 years during a challenging economy.
