On day three of the 2025 Cross Washington bikepacking event, John Stamstad and I chatted with Ethan Washam east of Snoqualmie Pass. XWA isn’t hard enough, so Ethan was riding a single-speed. Ethan has previous single-speed bikepacking experience, including almost all of XWA 2019.
